National Surveillance and Intelligence has invested in state-of-the-art TSCM Electronic Bug Sweep Equipment that are used by intelligence agencies, defence departments and governments worldwide, including Australia (DFAT, DoD, ASD, etc), and we are constantly monitoring new threats and expanding our knowledge base to offer our clients the most current forms of countermeasures available.
We have a purpose built Threat Test Facility whereby we research and test threats that can present themselves to our clients. Some of the equipment used by NSI are restricted and only available to those with Specialist Government Clearances. Other equipment used includes the following:

NSI has the capability to conduct simultaneous eavesdropping detection sweeps in three different locations such as building levels, suburbs, states or countries. We have the ability to check boardrooms/offices in 3 different locations and live monitor them to detect any threats. During real time monitoring we connect the spectrum analysers to a custom made TSCM software which allows us to monitor and locate devices in real time. As part of live monitors, we are able to use a sensor system to easily locate all types of devices that are transmitting in a premises, whether it is a Wi-Fi, cellular, or Bluetooth device, burst transmitter and so on.
Our Spectrum Analysers handles spectrum monitoring, bugging device detection, RF and microwave signal analysis, trace data analysis, burst and packet device detection and backhaul testing or cellular and mobile phone signal measurements. They can also detect sophisticated transmitters (frequency-hopping, burst/packet, and spread spectrum, carrier current and infrared). Our Thermal Emissions Equipment allows us to detect the slightest surface temperature variation to allow our team to investigate the possibility of a device that may be hidden.
Our high powered Non-Linear Junction Detectors are capable of locating and confirming the presence of electronic components found in devices, regardless whether they are switched on or off. It allows us to search voids and areas where we are unable to gain physical or visual access, in order to detect electronic components and determine if the area is free from illegal listening devices or an improvised explosive device (IED). Almost all sophisticated eavesdropping devices contain semi conductors which are non‐linear junctions. We can find these without any issue by emitting a very high frequency signal to simulate the non‐linear junction into emitting harmonic signals at two and three times the base frequency. The unit will then detect the harmonic frequencies using two highly sensitive receivers and then it will indicate the proximity of the device by a visual and audible alarm.
NSI’s telephone and line analysis equipment has the capability to rapidly and reliably detect and locate illicit eavesdropping devices and security vulnerabilities on both digital and analogue phone systems. It provides the capability to perform multiple tests to analyse communication lines for eavesdropping devices. There currently is no other product available in the world with the same capabilities. Voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone systems present a new form of security risk to communications. We can now test internet protocol (IP) packet traffic on VoIP phones and systems.
